He has been based at Jamyang Buddhist Centre for over 15 years now where he has developed a FPMT foundational Study course known as the Foundation of Buddhist Thought.
Meditation on Emptiness
Geshe Tashi will bring the insights of the great 14th century Tibetan mystic, Je Rinpoche Lama Tsongkhapa, into his presentation of the emptiness teachings of the Heart Sutra.
Geshe-La will base his presentation on Tsongkhapa’s last writing on emptiness, the Middle Length ‘Graded Path to Enlightenment’ text. This was the text Tsongkhapa specifically wrote for meditators.
Understanding of Emptiness brings an end to all the afflictive emotions and together with developed Bodhicitta, the mind of Great Compassion leads to full Enlightenment. Correct understanding of Emptiness is therefore an immensely important knowledge. The course includes practical step-by-step instructions on how to correctly begin to meditate on the profound subject of Emptiness.
