I oktober förra året besökte Ven Michael vår förening för en mycket uppskattad helgkurs då hans personliga och engagerande sätt att undervisa berörde och inspirerade på djupet alla de som deltog.
This time Ven Michael will be introducing The Four Seals — the Fundamental Principles of the Entire Buddhist Doctrine.

The Four Seals of the Buddhist Doctrine
The fundamental principles of the entire Buddhist doctrine can be combined into what is presented as The Four Seals: that all products are impermanent; all contaminated things are in the nature of misery; the ultimate nature of all existent phenomena are empty and selfless; liberation is peace.
While practicing Buddhism is a personal choice, one does not need to become a Buddhist to benefit from the Buddhas practical philosophical teachings. The Buddha reached a state of full awakening, which means that he sees the true nature of all existence and understands things exactly as they are. He articulated his insights in his teachings to help various levels of people to overcome specific wrong views, which are contrary to these principle truths. As ordinary beings, we all hold certain misconceptions relating to ourselves and our world, which is the main cause for all our personal problems and suffering in the world. While there are no immediate solutions, when we begin to get a correct understanding of reality our problems begin to reduce and can eventually be overcome completely.
Everyone is welcome to attend the teachings to find out if it is applicable and useful in one’s own life.
In this course Venerable Michael will give an introduction to The Four Seals, we will meditate together and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Om Michael Yeshe
Venerable Michael föddes i London 1966 till en grekisk far och en belgisk mor. Han växte upp på Kopan-klostret i Nepal och har varit munk i den tibetansk – buddhistiska traditionen från 7 års ålder. Vid 13 års ålder började han studera vid Sera Jey Monastic University i södra Indien och där han tillbringade de kommande 18 åren med att studera buddhistisk filosofi. Sedan 1996 har Venerable Michael bjudits in till buddhistcenter i Amerika, Singapore, Malaysia och Holland som översättare och lärare. Under 11 år bodde han på Tara-institutet i Melbourne där han tjänade som översättare för Venerable Geshe Doga. Från hösten 2020 är Venerable Michael bosatt i Stockholm och undervisar och leder retreater som fast lärare på FPMT centret Yeshin Norbu.
